Calling High School Environmentalists!

Gulf Coast Creation Care, a faith-based climate action alliance, invites you to a meeting to learn more about our region’s amazing natural habitat, threats to its existence, and various ways you and your friends can get involved to protect it.

(Snacks will be provided)

The meeting will give you a chance to . . . . .

  • Hear from the experts:  members of Mobile Baykeeper, Alabama Coastal Foundation, GCCC, and other organizations dedicated to protecting the precious natural resources and ecosystem of the Alabama gulf coast.
  • Discover what makes our natural environment remarkably unique and important, as well as serious threats to its health.
  • Share your concerns with like-minded students and professionals about climate change as it affects the Mobile area, the country, and the planet.
  • Watch “America’s Amazon,” a documentary by journalist and author Ben Raines, about the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta.
  • Learn about volunteer opportunities to be a better steward of the environment.
  • Collect ideas and materials that will help you plan a rewarding agenda for your school’s environmental club.
