You are Invited to Attend the Mobile Area Interfaith Conference (MAIC) Charting the Way Home Reentry Council Meeting.
Thursday, July 11, 2019
All Saints Episcopal Church – Sterling Room
151 S. Ann Street
Mobile, AL 36604
12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The following are invited:
– Service Providers and Religious Congregations who want to inform us about the services they provide in the local community
– Returning Citizens, or our Neighbors, who have been released from jails and prisons and want to find out about local resources that may help them
– College and University Students who want to find out more about reentry dynamics and learn about ways they can help the formerly incarcerated
– People in the Mobile and Baldwin County Areas who want to collaborate with us about how to work together to improve the lives of our Neighbors upon their release and increase public safety in the area
We feature a Returning Citizen as a Guest Speaker telling us his or her story about the reentry process, followed by a Community Partner sharing about their agency or organization and the efforts they take to assist Returning Citizens as they transition out of jails and prisons back into society.
We will begin our process of implementing some of the plans in the Charting the Way Home (CTWH) Strategic Plan through the work of three committees: Housing, Employment, and Community Awareness (Communication and Voting efforts). You can view the Strategic Plan here: https://opentableucc.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Charting-the-Way-Home-Reentry-Council-Strategic-Plan.pdf
