Anna Jane Joyner is passionate about crafting stories and strategies that inspire new and non-traditional audiences to take action on climate change. Her work has been featured by Rolling Stone, Glamour, MTV, The Associated Press, and more. Anna Jane’s efforts to engage evangelicals – including her own father (a prominent pastor), was featured in Years of Living Dangerously, an Emmy-award winning Showtime series on the climate crisis. She is the co-founder of Creation Care Alliance of Western North Carolina, and has organized faith communities to take action on everything from moving Beyond Coal, ending mountaintop removal coal mining in Appalachia, water pollution, federal climate policy, protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and more.
Currently, she’s the co-host of “No Place Like Home” – a podcast that gets to the heart of climate change. They just released a new “Bring the Light” season that explores spirituality and the climate crisis. She’s also the founder of “The Good Energy Project” – a budding initiative to support writers and producers in integrating climate stories into TV and film.
The Reverend Michael Malcom is the Executive Director of Alabama Interfaith Power and Light. He is also the Founder of Martha’s Corner, Inc. and The People’s Justice Council which are 501(c)3 non-profits and the Environmental Justice Representative for the Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ.
