Love Inventors with Maggy Barankise

August 29, 2021, 9:30 am10:30 am

SESSION THREE Love Inventors

Opus Prize and UN Nansen Award winner Marguerite Barankitse, known as “Maggy,” witnessed the murder of over 70 people in Ruyigi, during the civil war between Hutu and Tutsi tribes in Burundi. Maggy’s responded by founding Maison Shalom (House of Peace).

God is God. That is worth celebrating! No world leaders compare. No riches in the world compare. No powers, no currency, no-thing opens the heart like coming through hardships by experiencing the Grace and Love of God and others. According to Barankise, the beauty that is God and the grace of life is to be celebrated—that we are found and known, that love goes on and on (even during war times!), and that God is still God.
