The Season of Creation, which runs from 1 September through 4 October, is an annual celebration of prayer and action for creation that Christians on six continents have commemorated for years. The theme for this year is “Healing and Hope in a Time of Ecological Crisis.”
The Gulf Coast Creation Care team is delighted to present the third session of our 2021 workshop, The Way Home is Through the Forest. This presentation features local forest immersion therapy practioner, Pat Homer.
Pat Homer, a retired English professor from Statesboro, GA, has returned to her roots that grow deep in the Georgia soil. Her love of nature and her desire to share this love with others led her to become a certified nature and forest therapy guide. Pat also earned a certificate in Contemplation and Creation Care from the Center for Religion and Environment at the Sewanee University School of Theology and completed the United Methodist Earthkeeper training She is the founder of Southeastern Nature and Forest Therapy Consulting through which she leads forest immersion and contemplation experiences, both secular and spiritual.
