SUMMARY:Coloring Fairhope with Pride
DESCRIPTION:In 2020\, a simple idea sparked something beautiful—Color Fairhope with Pride was born from the vision of bringing more color\, visibility\, and love to our town during Pride Month. It all started with chalk\, sidewalks\, and a dream to create a more inclusive community.\n\n\nNow\, we’re kicking off Pride Month 2026 by going back to where it all began: Coloring the Sidewalks!\n\n\n Join us on June 7th as we color our sidewalks in Fairhope near Marietta Johnson Statue with rainbows\, affirmations\, and art. We will be there from 10 am to 2 pm!\n\n\nLet’s celebrate love\, pride\, and community—one sidewalk square at a time!\n\n\nBring your chalk\, a big bottle of water and all your friends\, and celebrate our community!

SUMMARY:Alive With Pride 2026
DESCRIPTION:Open Table is a member of the Affirming Spiritual Communities Coalition (ASCC)\, a collaboration of Prism United and affirming congregations in Southwest Alabama.\n\nOn Friday\, June 12th\, the coalition will meet during Pride ArtWalk\, Mobile’s biggest Pride event of the year\, for three special opportunities: \n\n1) Fellowship Hour from 4:00-5:00pm at the Guesnard House. The building is located at 51 South Jackson Street\, on the corner of Jackson and Conti (across the street from the Alabama Contemporary Art Center). We invite you to join us for refreshments and fellowship with the rest of the coalition. The Guesnard House is just a hop\, skip\, and a jump away from the Pride ArtWalk festivities\, which kick off at 5pm this year on Conception Street. This event is hosted by Government Street Presbyterian Church.\n2) Stage Highlight. Between 6:25-6:40pm\, Rev. Mary Alice will take the Alive With Pride stage (in front of Flip Side Patio & Bar) on behalf of the coalition to deliver an affirming message\, followed by a performance of Singing for Our Lives by Waylon Bailey. At this special moment\, we invite you to be present in the audience\, to express your support\, and to join along with Waylon for this community singing opportunity.\n3) The March of the Coalition. Starting at 7:00pm\, ASCC members will gather at the Alive With Pride stage to march together in the Pride parade at 7:30pm. This year\, Darwin Singleton will be calling out businesses\, organizations\, and members of the Affirming Spiritual Communities Coalition from the stage to amplify parade participants as they march. We’d love for you and your congregants to participate!
