DESCRIPTION:The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a fun\, hands-on way for people of all ages to contribute to scientific research by identifying and counting pollinators in their own backyards and communities. By participating\, you will help collect valuable data that supports pollinator conservation across the region. Participants may join from Mississippi\, Alabama\, Florida\, or Georgia!! \nParticipants will count and report the pollinators observed in backyards\, gardens\, schools\, and community spaces. But don’t worry—there is no need to be an expert to join the count. Alabama Extension home horticulture agents and other census promoters will provide all of the necessary guidance for people to correctly identify pollinators and make their counts count. Visit www.gsepc.org to learn more about this fantastic initiative that spans across many of Alabama’s neighboring states. \nParticipation is easy. Simply choose a 15-minute period of time on either August 21 or 22 to watch a single plant and count how many insects visit that plant. Then upload the information to the GSEPC website. If you are choosing a large flowering plant (such as a bush or a tree\, pick a 2 ft x 2 ft area in the plant to watch for the 15-minute time frame. For readers who may have begun to question the relevance of religion to consider taking the first steps toward religious belief but not merely because religious belief is “psychologically helpful.” \nInstead\, he claims that unbelievers should consider religious belief because it has a real “intellectual advantage.” Religious belief\, in other words\, is the best explanation of reality. It is nonbelief\, not religious belief\, that requires us to deny what our reason tells us. \nJoin us as we begin our new book study\, reading the introduction and chapter 1. FIBI will have a donation table accepting shelf stable food items\, diapers\, and household supplies for local immigrant families that have someone in detention. \nNational 50501 (50 protests\, 50 states\, 1 movement) leaders organize these pro-democracy\, pro-freedom\, pro-compassion\, anti-cruelty nationwide demonstrations with our local Indivisible Mobile chapter. \nOpen Table supports an informed citizenry and encourages members to engage in activities that work to bring God’s dream to aliveness in our world: a world where all are treated with dignity and respect\, where the vulnerable are protected\, the hungry are fed\, the poor are not taken advantage of\, those in prison are visited\, and all who are suffering receive compassion and sustenance.

Participants take to the streets of Downtown Mobile for an afternoon of bubbles\, brews\, and bites\, culminating in a vibrant After Party with live music and local vendors. \nEach participant receives either a glass to receive wine pourings or a mug to receive beer at each downtown local\, with tasty bites served at several of the venues along with the beverages. Non alcoholic beverages will be available. The pub crawl finishes at 9 pm as folks gather at the starting point for an after party. \nStarting point and after party venue to be announced. Ticket link will be posted when it is available. \nAll proceeds go to Prism United.
