Using the Bible to Justify Slavery: Let the Oppressed Go Free

The adult education class will discuss, for two weeks, a mini-topic—the Introduction and 1st Chapter of Let the Oppressed Go Free: Abolitionism in Colonial and Revolutionary America.

This book, which will be released on November 4th, was written by class member and Spring Hill College history professor Nic Wood.

This week, we will discuss the Introduction and first half of the first chapter. You can find the reading here. Ann Carns will facilitate our discussion. Nic Wood will be back to facilitate the discussion of the second half of the first chapter next week.
