Link Up the Vote

The Greater Mobile (AL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, in partnership with the League of Women Voters, NAACP, Mobile United, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Bishop State Community College, announces the “Link Up the Vote” Legislative Candidate Forum, a community-wide civic engagement event focused on voter education, youth empowerment, and informed participation in Alabama’s upcoming elections.

The forum will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bishop State Community College, Main Campus in Mobile, Alabama. All candidates for House Districts 97 and 99 and the Mobile County Sheriff’s race have been invited to participate. From 5 to 5:30 pm there will be voter registration opportunities, sample ballots for the May 19 election, and a ballot tabulating machine.

More than a candidate forum, this is also a youth voter education event.
