Wade in the Water: Music

Please join the conversation and fellowship of All Saints Episcopal and Bethel AME as they break down racial barriers and forge a new path for shared spirituality and social activism in Mobile.

At this meeting, we’ll watch the third episode of The 1619 Project documentary, entitled “Music”—which “celebrates the ‘uncapturable spirit’ of Black music, from Motown’s wide popularity to funk’s rebellious independence to today’s genre-breaking musicians, and maintains that Black music IS American music.”

The viewing of the film will be followed by a group discussion.
