Wade in the Water: Samantha Ingram

Please mark your calendar for Wade in the Water’s monthly meeting, Monday, October 27, from 6 – 8 PM, at Bethel AME Church, 714 Savannah Street, Mobile.

District 2 has a new councilperson! Newly elected to the Mobile City Council, Samantha Ingram, PhD, will be our special guest for a Wade in the Water Town Hall. Dr. Ingram, a Mobile native, has spent most of her life in public service, as a high school science teacher, as Deputy Superintendent of Mobile County Public Schools, and as Chief for the Center of Instructional Leadership and Development for the United States Department of Defense. She is driven by a passion for empowering youth, developing community leadership, and building strong neighborhoods. In her newest role, as a city councilwoman, she remains committed to “listening, communicating, and being responsive to the needs of our citizens. I look forward to a better District 2—a community where children can play without fear, local businesses can thrive, and every resident feels a true sense of belonging and pride.” Please join us for this extraordinary opportunity to get to know our representative on the city council, hear her plans and ideas, and share with her your own concerns and priorities for our part of the city.
