Carnival in Alabama: Chapter 4

During this Mardi Gras season, All Saints and Open Table adult education class will read Isabel Machado’s new book, Carnival in Alabama: Marked Bodies and Invented Traditions in Mobile.
This week, we will read and discuss chapter 4, “Official ‘Colored’ Mardi Gras and Mobile’s Black Liberation Struggle.”
