Grace for One Day with William Paul Young

October 24, 2021, 9:30 am10:15 am

Join us in the Saad Conference Room for adult education hour.  We will watch a short video and then discuss.

The Shack author, William P. Young (Paul), was born a Canadian and while in Oregon, Paul
attended seminary and met and married Kim. Together they celebrate “the wastefulness of grace”
with their six children, two daughters-in-law, and now two grandchildren.

“Just because we go through a process of transformation doesn’t mean the evidence
disappears.” Hard things happen. People we love become sick, people we love die.
We go through tough stuff year in and year out. We suffer, hopefully we come to
terms and learn and grow. This is where Young says that God “can climb inside of
that, and…out of your pain and your hurt build a monument and an icon of
grace…” Although that is hopeful, it’s not an anesthetic.
